Error code K: Weight data is inaccurate

Last updated: August 18, 2026
Applicable model: Popur S7 Split Litter System (SLS)
Applicable firmware version: 4.0.0 & onwards
Applicable mobile app version: 2.0.0 & onwards (both Android & iOS)

💡 Technical Clarification

Error code K is currently not invisible in the Popur S7 App because without a reference object, the self-check process cannot confidently decide whether or not the weight data is accurate.

As a first step, kindly ensure the firmware is updated to version 4.0.0 or newer, and app is updated to version 2.0.0 or newer. Here's the firmware update guide.

Starting with firmware 4.0.0, you may recalibrate as well as validate the weight metrics.

Firstly, please recalibrate the weight sensor using Popur S7 App → Device Page → Top-right icon for Settings → Scale → Recalibrate scale → Confirm, or follow this video guide: https://youtu.be/H8SOgcMz7Wo.

Secondly, please validate the weight function by following this video guide: https://youtu.be/JxDdHGZaC1w.

If the validation fails, or the weight data is still inaccurate, please consider replacing the load cells to resolve the issue once and for all.

Since the load cells are soldered directly to the circuit board, they must be replaced together as a complete assembly. This design offers better reliability, durability, and signal consistency than pin-connected alternatives.

After the replacement, please recalibrate the weight sensor AGAIN.

🚩 Special Case for Incompatible Software after Replacement

If the new power supply board you received is baked with firmware 3.6.0 or earlier version, it will be incompatible with the rest of the system. While the core features remain functional, including auto-clean and App 2.0.0 version, a suite of new functionalities won't work.

The easiest way to tell this info is by turning on the Auto power-cycle feature in the Popur S7 App → Device Page → Top-right icon for Settings → Spin → Auto power-cycle. Then, reboot the machine to see whether or not it automatically power cycles. If not, the new power supply board is on legacy firmware.

To address this incompatibility, simply update to firmware 4.0.0 or onwards in the Popur S7 App → Device Page → Top-right icon for Settings → Firmware update. If there is no newer version to install, please contact us so that we could manually push over a new version for you to install.
