Acclimate your cats in the SMART way

S
Stay unplugged
Cats are naturally curious about a new object. While they are still checking it out, leave Popur turned off to avoid any undesired startlement.

M
Mix in old litter
Entice your cats with familiar scents by taking a few scoops of litter, or even clumps, from their old litter box and sprinkling it in. Preferably, place Popur alongside their old box too.

A
Adjust only one thing at a time
If you also decide to change location of the box, type of the litter, et cetera, don't do it abruptly. Remember, only one change at a time to allow smooth transition.

R
Reassure them by your company
Once your cats are fine using Popur, turn it on for a cleaning cycle while they are present, so they can observe the motion and sound while you're there to comfort them.

T
Treat them as you see fit
It's crucial to build a rapport between cats and their new litter box. Reward them with favorite treats or tricks whenever they interact with Popur to create that positive association.

Safeguard your smaller pets
Safety isn’t an afterthought—it’s our starting point. Popur’s ABCD framework brings together four advanced features that define our commitment to cat-safe design. In the Popur App, simply turn on Curious Cat to activate the strategies and add an extra layer of protection for the minions.

Curious Cat
It's not uncommon for cats to be intrigued by their new litterbot, which may trigger repetitive cleanings. This strategy will disregard your cats' activities following a completed cycle to preempt any startlement to skittish ones. Cooling time is about 2 minutes.

DynaMove
Caring for your miniature pets including ferrets, this strategy ensures virtually no gap between the filter and the litter bed by automatically adjusting filter movements based on litter volume. This way, it’s impossible for kittens to get under the filter.

ActiveShield
Nature calls and your cats hurry to do their business before cleaning completes. This strategy will retract the filter when a cat is detected, and then resume the flattening process after the cat is found left. This way, it makes room for your cats to use the toilet first and eliminate any risks.

Block detection
In a theoretical event where the litter tray is almost empty, there will be a zigzag channel from above the fence to under the filter. If a pet twists its body and sprints through the zigzag channel, bypassing the motion detection like a ninja, the agile sensors still keep detecting whether the filter is blocked or not. If so, the filter will extend and stay open as the last line of defense.
