Popur S7 Split Litter System (the SLS)

The thing I didn't expect to love is how easy it is to actually see what's going on. With our old Litter-Robot, I couldn't tell how dirty things were without sticking my head inside or taking pieces off. With the Popur everything is right there. I can glance at the litter, see if it needs topping up, wipe something if I notice it and move on. It feels much more like owning a normal litter box, just without the scooping part.

I’m writing this after owning the Popur S7 for six months. On the positive side, it has significantly reduced the amount of scooping I have to do. My cats also seem to prefer it over the Litter-Robot 4, probably because it sits closer to the ground and is uncovered.

My main complaint is with the litter pad that lines the box. It works well at first, but over time, clumps start getting caught in the corners where the fabric folds. When the unit cycles, the clean litter is supposed to empty into a separate reservoir while the clumps are scooped into the waste bin. Then, as the unit tips back upright, the clean litter is returned to the main box.

The problem is that if a clump is stuck in the corner, it may not fall loose until after the clean litter has already emptied into the reservoir, if it comes loose at all. At that point, the clump drops into the clean-litter reservoir instead of the waste bin. When the unit returns upright, that clump gets dumped back into the box with the clean litter, where the sifter can mash it up while leveling everything out again.

As a Maine Coon owner, size matters. My big boy is over 20 lbs and always looked miserable squeezing into traditional automatic litter boxes.
This one is a game changer. The open and spacious design gives him enough room to turn around, dig, and cover properly without bumping into walls. No more awkward half-squats.
It also handles his large waste output effortlessly and keeps odors sealed in.
Totally worth it!

My rescue cat is extremely timid and absolutely refused to use enclosed dome boxes like the Litter Robot. They terrified her. The Popur's open box design was the perfect solution for her anxiety! Because it looks and feels like a regular traditional box, she used it without hesitation on day one. It’s also surprisingly quiet when it cycles. If your cat is easily scared, or just hates enclosed spaces, THIS is the automatic box you need. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

If you're debating between Popur and other big-name brands, go with Popur. I've tried Litter Robot and a few others, and the S7 is superior in every way from usability, the new design, and the fantastic new features.
No smell, cats adjusted immediately (some even sleep in it sometimes lol), and customer service has been excellent with fast replies and helpful videos.
I'm fully committed to Popur now. It's a premium experience for both myself and the masters of this house.

The waste bin works great with liners and as long as we change it when it’s full there’s no odor.
With five cats it usually takes about a week to fill up.
Our cats needed a few days to fully switch over from their old box, but once they did it’s been smooth. I also like being able to adjust the timing between cleaning cycles. This thing is worth every dime!!! ❤️

We went with the bigger S7 since we have 4 cats, including a Maine Coon thats around 20lbs. They got used to it in just a few days, and now they barely even touch the other litter boxes we still have around the house.
It keeps smells under control really well, super easy to maintain, and works perfectly with the clumping litter we’ve always used.
We do have one picky cat who would literally go anywhere BUT the litter box if it wasnt perfectly clean from other cats... this completely fixed that issue.
We’ve had it for about 5 months now. At one point there was a small issue, but customer service got back to us super fast with the exact fix, so thats another big plus for me.
It was just something minor with the automatic lid on the waste bin, and they actually sent out a replacement part THE SAME DAY I reached out.
Honestly really impressed with that level of support 👍

Out of all the automatic litter boxes we’ve tried, this is the one my cats clearly prefer. We have four robotic litter boxes in the house, but ever since we set up the Popur, the others are basically being ignored. It’s actually kind of funny. We have five cats and saw 41 uses in less than two days🤣🤣🤣, although I’m pretty sure some of those trips were just them checking it out and being curious. Either way, it was an instant hit in our house.

It has been 2 months since we received our second popur s7 and we are extremely happy with its function. There was a small problem in the beggining with a malfunction of the shovel, but it was troubleshooted in no time from the amazing after sales support team popur has and solved with just an update.
PS) buy the white model. Although the black one looks slick in photos in reality with the dust from the sand the white looks much better

I’ve had the Popur S7 for about four months now and it has been amazing. I have two cats and I barely think about litter anymore. The waste bin usually lasts close to two weeks before I need to deal with it. Ours sits in the living room behind the couch, and there is basically no odor at all. I’ve even asked family members to be honest about whether the house smells like litter, and everyone says no. I also have not had any technical issues so far. It really has been one of those setup once and just let it do its thing products. I’m even thinking about getting another one for my grandparents and their cat.

I’ve had the S7 since last December for my two cats, and I’ve been very happy with it. One of them is extremely skittish and had completely refused to use an automatic litter box before, so I was not sure how this would go. The reviews gave me enough confidence to try it, and after a slow adjustment period of a few weeks, both cats were using it comfortably. I also really appreciate the customer support team. I’ve reached out twice with questions and both times I got a quick response. They seem to genuinely care about making customers and cats happy, and they have continued improving the product with app updates and ongoing refinements. Overall I’m very satisfied with the S7.

It seems smart enough to tell the difference between a cat just stepping around the edge and one actually getting in to use it. It does a really good job cleaning the box without making a mess in the process, which is something I was worried about with automatic units. It also holds a good amount of litter and does especially well with pee in the corners. I’m really glad I waited until I found one that actually made sense to me. Most of the other brands never felt worth buying because they looked complicated and annoying to maintain. This one feels simple and practical.
I hope this company succeeds for the long term!

We have five cats and several litter boxes in the house, but the Popur S7 is clearly the favorite. It stays clean, the open top design works well for our more nervous cats, and we do not have to change the bag very often. Sometimes they will actually wait for it to finish cleaning so they can use it instead of going to one of the other boxes. That alone says a lot. We are already planning to get another one.

We run a small cattery with around 6 to 10 litters a year, so finding the right litter box system really matters to us. My cats absolutely love the Popur setup. I’ve also bought Litter Robot and Meowant units because I wanted to compare different systems and figure out what worked best for our cattery. Popur came out far ahead of the others. The difference was obvious pretty quickly. My cats are constantly choosing this one and sometimes even waiting for their turn to use it.

I breed Maine Coons and currently have nine cats in the house, so litter boxes are a huge part of daily life here. We now have four Popur units total. We started with the X5 years ago and had such a good experience that we recently added two S7s as well. They have made life so much easier. Any time we’ve needed help, customer service has been excellent. The best part is that with all nine of our big cats, we only need to empty the four units every 7 to 10 days. Not having to scoop all the time feels amazing. I would absolutely recommend Popur whether you have one cat or a whole house full like we do.

I got my S7 back in November and loved it so much. So I ordered the older model for downstairs too. We have four cats, including two that are definitely high pee ers, and both boxes have been great for us. With the other brand I was changing the waste container every couple of days, but now I can usually go about a week or even a week and a half. Honestly, sometimes I look at it and wonder if my cats are secretly using some other bathroom because it feels like there should be way more clumps and poop than what I’m seeing 🤣

We've had our S7 for about 3 months now. I'd been eyeing the Litter Robot for a while but just couldn't justify the price. My husband was skeptical about spending that much on a litter box, even for the S7. We have two cats, a girl who's around 7 months and a boy around 5 months. Funny enough, they both jumped in before we'd even finished setting it up 😂. The first cleaning cycle startled them a bit, but they went right back to using it no problem. I took away the old box right away so they didn't really have a choice. I have it set to wait about 10 minutes after the last visit before it cycles, just so it doesn't spook them. I really appreciate that it cleans at a gentle pace, which is less stressful for the little ones. So far we're thrilled with it, and the house smells noticeably fresher now that the box is always clean. Even my husband admitted the other night that it was a great buy. And honestly? I'm getting way too comfortable not having to scoop anymore 😂.

I've been running the S7 for my 3 cats for roughly two months now. Putting it together was straightforward and pairing it with the app on my phone took no time at all.
I'm very pleased with how it works. I prefer to run it on manual mode (though it's nice to have the option of auto!) so I can make sure my nervous kitty isn't nearby when it cycles. All three of them have taken to it without any issues.
Since every part of the unit is easy to access, dealing with the occasional small mess is no big deal. That was definitely not the case with my old Litter Robot 4.
I'd recommend it without hesitation. It's doing exactly what I was hoping for!
