Introducing the Flexiguard Litterpad for Popur S7 SLS

At Popur, we believe that even small improvements can make a difference in everyday litter care. Based on feedback from S7 users, we've continued exploring different materials and designs to help address common concerns, including wet litter sticking to the litterpad.

Today, we're introducing a new option: the Flexiguard Litterpad for Popur S7 SLS, designed with a water-repellent surface, waterproof backing, and soft, flexible construction.

A New Approach to Water Protection

Flexiguard takes a different approach to litter sticking by focusing on how the litterpad interacts with moisture.

Its surface features a water-repellent fabric sourced from Japan. During water testing, droplets bead up and roll across the material rather than quickly soaking in, demonstrating a water-repellent effect sometimes called the lotus effect. This design aims to limit moisture absorption at the surface and help reduce the conditions that cause wet litter to stick.

Beneath the surface, a waterproof backing provides an additional layer of protection against liquid penetration. The soft, dense construction naturally conforms to the litter bed, while a quick-dry polyester base helps manage moisture during everyday use.

Together, these features offer another way to approach litterpad maintenance, particularly for purrents looking for improved water repellency.

Three Litterpad Options, Different Priorities

Every household has different preferences, and there's no single litterpad design that suits every situation. That's why we now offer three options for the Popur S7 SLS.

• Flexiguard Litterpad: Prioritizes water repellency with a soft, flexible construction to help limit moisture absorption and reduce litter sticking.

• Rigidbase Litterpad: Features a reinforced, rigid construction for purrents who prefer a flatter, more stable litter surface.

• Duralastic Litterpad: Uses flexible, rebound-based material designed to help release clumps and reduce sticking.

Each option takes a different approach, allowing you to choose the design that best matches your priorities.

A Note on Long-Term Water Repellency

Like other water-repellent fabrics, Flexiguard's surface treatment can gradually lose effectiveness through regular use, wear, and abrasion. Periodic reproofing or replacement may be necessary to maintain its water-repellent properties.

We also want to share that the specialized fabric used in Flexiguard has become increasingly difficult and costly to source. Despite these challenges, we've chosen to offer Flexiguard at the same standard price point as our other S7 litterpad options.
