The Good: It’s much cheaper than other “litter robots”. It has a lot of space. It’s fairly easy to clean.
The Bad: I have 2 adult cats. The waste bin is full in about a week. The bags are horribly thin and difficult to stretch over the bin to provide adequate coverage. Cleaning the unit is fairly easy, but time consuming. Easy because you can basically wipe it down with Clorox wipes. But time consuming because waste definitely does get stuck in the filter. And the liner needs to be periodically washed. All of this requires taking everything apart, cleaning it, and putting it back together.
The ugly: when I purchased, they only had the cardboard waste bins. The waste bin is a major design flaw. I’ve had this item for almost 3 months. The cats have stood on the waste bin lid while it’s dumping, causing all the feces to dump on my floor. Thankfully I was smart enough to put plastic under the unit and the wet feces and urine didn’t get soaked into my hardwood flooring. Because they seem infatuated with the waste bin, it’s out of shape and now falling apart. They’ve chewed the lid. I’ve had to duct tape it all together. And most recently my female cat has taken to ripping the bags apart with her claws because they are exposed outside of the bin. So when I go to pick up the bag of waste, there’s holes all over and dirty litter leaking out. That also means that the cardboard box that is the “waste bin” gets exposed to the urine and fecal matter. Which in turn means that it smells.
Overall: It functions fine. But would I buy another? No - not unless the waste bin and bags are fully redesigned. The bags need to be contained and not exposed to cats. If the cats are standing on the waste lid, the unit should not continue dumping litter. It also should never have been made with cardboard. That’s got to be the biggest idiotic thing I’ve ever seen. Cardboard waste bin for wet cat litter. Then they expect you to pay $40 for a replacement piece of cardboard that you already know doesn’t work worth crap. No thanks.
